My Great-Grandfather ran a wool mill in Bradford, West Yorkshire. His two sons, my Grandfather and his twin brother, my Great-Uncle, took on this family business, before the wool industry all went to the Far-East, and the Mill and the business were sold. My mother taught fashion for 50 years. I pretty much grew up on a cutting room floor! I think i’ve known how to thread a sewing machine longer than i’ve been able to walk and talk. I have been quite literally surrounded by Textiles All My Life!
